Hey December

Hey December,
You are important to remember.
When I was younger,
You seemed to be a lot cooler.
The snow used to come earlier, and
Christmas used to be more fun and happier.
Now I have grown older,
Your smile is a bit warmer,
The holidays have become shorter, and
I have other things to look after.
But whenever I look at the calendar,
I will always remember,
You are the last month of the year, and​ 
Christmas is the last thing I hear.
