The Far Side of Flaw
In that quiet corner where doubt takes shelter,
Fear lingers—unbidden, unwelcome.
It murmurs in the recesses of the mind,
A chorus of imagined verdicts, cruel and premature.
Time, that merciless mirror, enlarges each flaw,
Every misstep replayed in merciless clarity.
But here lies a truth so often overlooked:
Even the fall teaches, if one dares to see.
What we call failure is seldom the end—
More often, it is a turning, a redirection.
Growth, after all, is not without bruises;
The soil of progress is tilled by imperfection.
So if you should find yourself adrift,
Measure not the distance from the shore,
But the courage it takes to stay afloat—
To keep rowing when the map is no more.
Let your missteps speak, not of shame, but of becoming.
Let each scar be footnoted with wisdom hard-won.
We are all unfinished stories,
And in some chapters, failure is simply foresight.
